Android phones and tablets

  1. Open workmoneyguide.com in Chrome or Edge.
  2. Tap Install the app above, or open the browser menu (⋮ or ⋯) and tap Install app or Add to Home screen.
  3. Confirm. Work & Money appears with your other apps.

In Samsung Internet, tap the menu (☰) at the bottom, then Add page to → Home screen.

iPhone and iPad

  1. Open workmoneyguide.com in Safari (on iOS 16.4 and later, Chrome and Edge work too).
  2. Tap the Share button (the square with an arrow pointing up). On some versions it's in the ⋯ menu.
  3. Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen (on newer versions it may be under View More), then Add.

Windows, Mac and Chromebook

  • Chrome or Edge: click the install icon at the right end of the address bar, or open the menu and choose Cast, save and share → Install page as app (Chrome) or Apps → Install this site as an app (Edge).
  • Safari on a Mac (macOS Sonoma or later): choose File → Add to Dock.
  • Firefox: on Windows, recent versions can pin a site to the taskbar as a web app from the address bar; on Mac and Linux, bookmark the site instead.

What works offline

Every page you open is kept on your device so it opens again without a connection, and installing the app also saves these tools straight away:

Salary data lookups and search need a connection the first time. When you're back online, the app picks up our latest updates automatically, so tax figures are never older than your last visit.

Privacy

The app is this website, so the same privacy policy applies. The app doesn't ask for any permissions and doesn't send notifications. Numbers you type stay in your browser, and saved scenarios stay on your device.

Removing the app

Remove it like any other app: press and hold the icon and choose Remove or Uninstall (on a computer, open the app's menu and choose Uninstall). To also delete the offline copies and saved scenarios, clear this site's data in your browser settings.
