Estimates and assumptions
Results are estimates based on the inputs you give and the assumptions shown with each result. Tax laws, contribution limits, benefit rules and rates change, sometimes during the year, and your actual tax return, paycheck, benefit or offer can differ. Where it matters, confirm figures with the official source (for example the IRS, the Social Security Administration, your state revenue department or your plan administrator). Our tools are built for U.S. rules and U.S. users unless a page says otherwise.

We cite official sources such as the IRS, SSA, BLS and BEA, but we are an independent website, not affiliated with or endorsed by any government agency.
